The Cambodian government will launch a national flag carrier in a joint venture with Indonesia’s Rajawali Group, the conglomerate announced in Jakarta on April 10. The two sides will set up a joint venture with capital of up to $50 million, with Cambodia’s government owning 51 percent of the shares, Rajawali said in a statement. “With a national flag carrier, we envisage our economy and tourism industry will grow rapidly,” Cambodia’s Deputy Prime Minister Sok An said in the statement. More than 20 foreign airlines, including Japan Airlines and Dubai-based airline Emirates, currently operate direct flights to the Kingdom. (AFP) Contributed by The Phnom Penh Post

Wikipedia: Cambodia Angkor Air is the national flag carrier airline of Cambodia, headquartered in Phnom Penh. It commenced operations on 28 July 2009. The airline is owned by the Cambodian Government (51%) and Vietnam Airlines (49%), the latter allowing for codeshare flights.
Cambodia Angkor Air was founded on 27 July 2009, replacing national airline Royal Air Cambodge, which had gone bankrupt in 2001, concentrating on serving tourist routes within Cambodia, most notably catering for visitors of Angkor Wat.
Cambodia Angkor Air's aircraft are supplied from Vietnam Airlines and are on loan, Cambodia Angkor Air does not purchase their aircrafts, the aircrafts are currently operated for/with Vietnam Airlines.
As of Septamber 2010, the Cambodia Angkor Air fleet consists of the following leased aircrafts with an average age of 6.9 years, which are all operated on behalf of Vietnam Airlines...
