Ban Nam Yang tour:

This one-day tour into the Nam Ha NPA winds through forest and upland fields. This tour has broad open vistas of the area. Along the way you will see villagers collecting forest products, tending livestock or working their upland fields. Before returning to the valley, we visit an Ahka village at the highest point. If there’s time, the tour also includes a stop at That Poum Pouk, Luang Namtha’s most ancient and newest stupa. The earlier the Ban Nam Yang Tour starts the more that you will be able to see and do along the way. This 1-day trek follows the old French road to Muang Sing and is a long, but not challenging, day trip of 6 – 7 hours. You will walk along the road, which is really more a track up to the Akha village of Nam Yang where you will have a chance to learn a bit about the life of the Akha in the hill before returning the same way to the Black Tai village of Nam Ngaen. If there is time, your group will have the chance to visit Luang Namtha’s newest and most ancient Stupa – That Poum Pouk.

Nam Ha Multi Sport tour:

The first day of trekking takes you through 2 Lanten Villages and a Khmu Village. Ban Nalan Tai, a Khmu village, and Ban Nam Goy, a Lanten village, can only be accessed by foot or by boat. This trail climbs a ridge bordering the Nam Ha River and goes through forested areas bordering the Nam Ha Protected Area. Overnight in the village lodge of Ban Nam Goy. On this trip you will learn about the upland agricultural practices, the uses of the forest and you’ll enjoy the hospitality and food of the Lanten. The first day is a day of trekking through forest and the second you spend kayaking down the lower part of the Nam Ha River through the Nam Ha National Protected Area. You will be paddling exciting but manageable 2 to 3 grade rapids. During low water the river becomes quite rocky making kayaking difficult. The trek starts in the village of Ban Namleu, a Lanten village. The trail ascends from Ban Nam Leu to the ridgeline. Along the trail you will pass through forest in various stages of regeneration as well as some upland fields. You will meet local villagers along the trail coming from or going to market. Descend from the ridge down to the village of Ban Nalan Tail on the banks of the Nam Ha. Walk around the village and rest awhile before continuing on to Ban Nam Goy. The villagers of Ban Nam Goy will be your hosts for the night. The villagers of Ban Nam Goy will be your hosts for the night. Your village host will prepare you evening meal and join for a chat before retiring in the village lodge of the night.(L, D).. The next day, the river features a number of swift rapids before arriving at the confluence of the Nam Ha and Nam Tha Rivers. Monkeys are often heard and sometimes seen on this stretch of river. But you’ll have to be quiet so you don’t scare them off. Reaching the Namtha River turn down stream and continue on down to the pick-up point in a Khmu village. A pick-up will return you to Luang Namtha.(B, L)

Half day Asia elephant ride tour:

Ban Sida tour:

This one-day trek is ideal for someone who wants to experience some trail hiking, see different types of agriculture and mixed forest and visit a variety of nearby ethnic groups. The tour starts on the broad open rice fields of the Namtha Valley and wanders up in to the hills above the valley through a provincial reserve forest. You will see terraced upland rice paddies and visit the Sida ethnic group and the Tibeto-Burman group, this group can only be found in two villages in Laos. One the way back you will stop by the Nam Dee Waterfall and visit the ethnic Lanten village of Ban Nam Dee.
